In partnership with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) we are assessing the wildland-urban interface between wolves and feral dogs in The Bogd Khan Mountain Strictly Protected Area (BMSPA) in Mongolia. Almost half the population of Mongolia lives in the country’s capital of Ulaanbaatar, which is located near the boundary of BMSPA.

The Asiatic cheetah population of India went extinct mainly due to poaching and spread of domestication in colonial India. Dry grasslands and open forests that make up their habitat are further under-represented in the national network of protected areas. Throughout south-east Asia, grassland habitats have seen the most drastic change, jeopardizing cheetah habitat.
