We are collaborating with the Mongolian Academy of Sciences to address emerging conservation challenges concerning the mammalian community, with a particular interest in marmots, grey wolves, and squirrels. Several species are under threat due to habitat degradation, unsustainable hunting practices, and human-wildlife conflict. In collaboration with researchers in the Mammal Ecology Laboratory at the Institute of Biology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, we hope to initiate several research projects to study these populations and the effects of human disturbance to guide long-term conservation and management practices.
